The Gift of Freedom on Two Wheels

In May 2025, Universal Cares donated two bikes to these resilient siblings who have faced more challenges in their young lives than most people ever will. After losing their mother to addiction and having a father who is also battling addiction and unable to care for them, they now live with their elderly maternal grandmother. She’s doing everything she can to create a safe and loving home, and we’re honored to support her efforts.These bikes are more than just a mode of transportation—they’re a symbol of hope, healing, and the carefree moments all children deserve. Every child deserves the chance to just be a kid—to explore their world and to experience the simple joy of freedom. For two 12-year-old twins, that freedom came in the form of a bicycle.
