Official Rules & Regulations: Helicopter Ball Drop Raffle
1. Eligibility & Participation
Must be 18 years or older to enter.
Each $10 or $25 purchase secures entry and one or more numbered balls.
Multiple entries permitted per person.
Ineligible participants include Universal Cares staff, Hoots Marketing judges, and their immediate families.
2. How the Helicopter Ball Drop Works
The drop occurs August 20, 2025, at Brookshire Golf Club (Carmel, IN).
Up to 500 numbered golf balls will be randomly placed into a container and dropped by helicopter from 100–150 feet above a designated target hole.
Winning criteria:
If balls land in the hole: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes go to the first three balls in.
If fewer than three balls land in the hole: winners are determined by proximity, as measured by independent Hoots Marketing judges.
In the event of a tie, a coin toss will determine placement.
Three alternate winners will be identified in case a prize goes unclaimed or a winner is ineligible.
3. Winner Notification & Prize Claims
Winners will be announced onsite and posted to the Universal Cares Facebook Page on the same day.
Winners do not need to be present.
Winners must provide valid identification and complete a W-9 form for tax reporting.
If a winner cannot be located or fails to claim the prize within 30 days, the next alternate will be contacted.
Universal Cares employees and immediate family members are not eligible to win.
If no valid claim is made by any of the four designated winners, the prize is forfeited to Universal Cares.
4. Alternative Drawing Method
If the helicopter drop is canceled due to unforeseen events, an alternate drawing will take place at the next available date by Hoots Marketing as a Facebook event at the tournament site.
5. How to Purchase & Track Entries
Entries can be purchased online through August 19th at 12pm then day via Universal Cares staff and volunteers until 8:30 AM on August 20, 2025.
Purchasers must provide a valid name, address, email, and phone number.
All sales are non-refundable.
Universal Cares will maintain a complete, public list of purchasers to ensure transparency and integrity.
6. Important Legal Disclosures
Odds of winning depend on total valid entries received.
Void where prohibited by law.
All local, state, and federal taxes are the responsibility of the winners.
Proceeds benefit Universal Cares’ charitable programs.
Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
Prizes will not be awarded to any entry made using declined, invalid, or stolen payment methods.
Ticket purchases are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
7. Release of Liability
By participating, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Universal Cares Inc., Brookshire Golf Club, and associated affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and promotional partners from any and all liability, injury, loss, or damage arising from the raffle or acceptance of any prize.
